Dr. Pontius attended Stanford University and then USC Medical School. He completed Cardiology Fellowship at U.S.C as well. Dr. Pontius has been in practice in San Luis Obispo since 1979. He was affiliated with the San Luis Medical Clinic for many years, and since 1989 has been with Coastal Cardiology. Dr. Pontius is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Nuclear Cardiology. Professional interests include cardiac risk factor reduction, coronary artery disease, cardiac arrhythmias and hypertension. Hobbies include tennis, golf, and hiking.
